SEO and Marketing Content Specialist

ThyssenKrupp OnlineMetals has an opportunity for a team member who is ready to be a key contributor to our digital marketing success in a fast-paced B2B/B2C e-commerce environment.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about e-commerce and web technologies to manage SEO and content marketing programs.  This individual is comfortable working on independent projects as well as strategic collaboration.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to write and deliver compelling and engaging content that meets SEO objectives and marketing goals. 

Create and maintain metadata and other inputs in the system to optimize search engine results.

Lead SEO and search-discovery projects including kickoff, requirements analysis, development, testing and launch.

Write user-friendly and search engine-friendly product descriptions and page copy. 

Setup new site pages/sections and campaign landing pages within the web content management system.

Setup and maintain campaign goals, profile data, multivariate tests and reporting within Evergage and Google Analytics platforms.

Proactively monitor the website to ensure that information is accurate, content is current and pages are free of errors.

Perform image manipulation tasks such as creating thumbnails, image resize, file format conversion and simple image edits.

Create and maintain multimedia, including photo galleries, slideshows, and videos embedded in Web pages.

Become the expert on our current content library, including cataloging existing/missing content.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, product manager and executive team to create original digital content for website and social channels.

Analyze ROI by capturing content marketing campaign performance metrics. 

Monitor SEO rankings and proactively develop and execute SEO strategy.

Review, edit, and publish content in a timely manner and according to established design standards and Internet best practices.

 

Qualifications

Must be able to work effectively both as a team member and independently on self-directed projects

Demonstrate ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision

Strong organization skills with emphasis on being conscientious and detail-oriented 

Be conversant in web basics and Search Engine Optimization

Knowledge of multimedia/creative: e.g., interactive/web content, digital graphics/optimization 

 

Required Skills

Minimum 2 years as a web content/SEO coordinator or specialist

Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) 

Working knowledge of computer software such as Windows, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, as well as experience with social networking websites

Must have excellent skills in editing various types of web content ranging from general text content to specialized digital content

Experience with HTML, CSS, web analytics, and content management systems

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Business or equivalent work experience preferred

Activities will include:

 

Assisting customer in using our website to place orders or find pricing information

Answering questions regarding order status, delivery or questions about materials we offer

Answering phone and fax inquiries for quotes

Entering orders using our internal entry system

Successful transfer of larger-volume orders and inquiries to appropriate sales hubs within our parent organization

Resolving customer requests, questions and complaints – frequently requiring analysis of situations to determine the best use of resources

 

The ideal candidate will have:


2-5 years customer service or inside sales experience

A history of high quality customer service interactions

Sales driven and highly motivated

Detail oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Experience in an environment with high volume call activity

Familiarity of iChat live with customers

Ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations

A history of self directed work output, with emphasis on being able to manage multiple

simultaneous activities

A desire to join an organization where efforts result in immediate and tangible results for

themselves and the organization

Experience with MS Office applications

Experience with metals or distribution industries is a plus

Familiarity with lean practices/6S/ISO standards will be very helpful
