Digital Marketing Content and Social Media Specialist

ThyssenKrupp OnlineMetals.com has an opportunity for a key contributor in our established and aggressively expanding B2B/B2C internet retail business.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about eCommerce and web technologies to transform our content marketing programs.  This individual will generate and manage content on owned platforms and across social media, in an enterprising and creative digital marketing environment. 

Responsibilities

Assist in the roadmap development of the next generation of innovative content that will drive success for our industry leading eCommerce business and digital experience.  

Research and develop original content, including written articles, product descriptions, email content, video, images and social media that’s web-ready and designed to engage our target audience.

Engage with online community through social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Pinterest and YouTube.

Understand how content strategy aligns with SEO objectives and marketing goals. Apply these principles to content development and overall UX. 

Setup new site pages/sections and campaign landing pages within web content management systems.

Proactively monitor the website to ensure that information is accurate, content is current and pages are free of errors.

Become the expert on our current content library, including cataloging existing/missing content.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, product manager and creative team to create original digital content for website and social channels.

Analyze ROI by capturing content marketing campaign performance metrics. 

Optimize on-site and off-site content initiatives, including social media and affiliate link building.

Manage execution of editorial calendar.

Required Skills

Must be able to work effectively both as a team member and independently on self-directed projects

Proven track record of developing and managing successful digital marketing content programs, preferably in an eCommerce environment 

Strong organization skills with emphasis on being conscientious, detail-oriented and deadline driven

Copywriting, editing and procurement techniques that align with brand consistency needs

Ability to engage with online community on behalf of a brand, within provided guidelines

Enthusiasm for creating original marketing campaigns and a general curiosity about the digital world

Portfolio of work demonstrating your ability to develop strategic digital content 

Qualifications 

Minimum 2-years’ business experience in digital content development role

Working knowledge of computer software such as MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, as well as experience with social networking websites and Google tools

Excellent skills in copy editing various types of web content ranging from general text content to specialized digital content

Experience with HTML, CSS, web analytics, and content management systems

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related

This is an on-site fulltime position in our Seattle office

Activities will include:

 

Assisting customer in using our website to place orders or find pricing information

Answering questions regarding order status, delivery or questions about materials we offer

Answering phone and fax inquiries for quotes

Entering orders using our internal entry system

Successful transfer of larger-volume orders and inquiries to appropriate sales hubs within our parent organization

Resolving customer requests, questions and complaints – frequently requiring analysis of situations to determine the best use of resources

 

The ideal candidate will have:


2-5 years customer service or inside sales experience

A history of high quality customer service interactions

Sales driven and highly motivated

Detail oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Experience in an environment with high volume call activity

Familiarity of iChat live with customers

Ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations

A history of self directed work output, with emphasis on being able to manage multiple

simultaneous activities

A desire to join an organization where efforts result in immediate and tangible results for

themselves and the organization

Experience with MS Office applications

Experience with metals or distribution industries is a plus

Familiarity with lean practices/6S/ISO standards will be very helpful
