Product Details, Specifications, and Technical Information
15N20 is regarded as a great carbon steel for knife blades. It is very tough at an HRC of 61-62, easy to heat treat, and resists chipping well. 15N20 is also prized for use in damascus steel, being resistant to acid etching and maintaining a lustrous appearance due to its nickel content. Beyond knife blades, 15N20 is used in sawmill bandsaw blades.
