PVC is a strong, stiff, low cost synthetic thermoplastic that is easy to fabricate and bond using adhesives or solvents. It is the third-most widley used plastic polymer in the world. PVC offers good electrical and thermal properties, excellent chemical resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, good water corrosion resistance, and low moisture absorption. PVC is used in welded chemical tanks, piping systems, valves, fume hoods, dosing skids, waterproof membranes, and electrical cable insulation.
