Overview

80CrV2 is a low alloy carbon steel that exhibits better tensile strength than non-alloyed carbon steels. It's similar to the composition of 1080 with the addition of small amounts of chromium and vanadium. It has tight specifications and is a good steel to use for knives. 80CrV2 also has good polishability and workability.
