440 Stainless Balls, Grade 100

440 Stainless Balls, Grade 100

Stainless Steel Balls 440C Grade 100 (0.0625") are widely used for antifriction bearings, valves, locking mechanisms, fasteners, and quick-disconnect couplings. Type 440C stainless steel provides maximum hardness, toughness, and dimensional stability – making these precision balls highly resistant to rolling-contact fatigue. Stainless 440C precision balls are used in a hardened condition, perform similarly to tool steels, and are ideal for antifriction bearings (rolling bearings).

Properties: Hardenable by heat treatment, maximum hardness, excellent toughness, excellent strength, superior dimensional stability, fair corrosion resistance, wear resistant, machinable, magnetic.

Common Uses: Precision ball bearings, valves, locking mechanisms, fasteners, quick-disconnect couplings.
