Offered in three alloys, A36, A569, and A1011, Hot Rolled Steel Sheet/plate is made of low carbon steel that is commonly found in most industries. A36 offers good weldability, machinability, and can be heat treated to harden its surface.
A569 and A1011 are both high strength, highly formable steel, that is commonly used to create drums, containers, and general fabrication.
Unlike cold rolled steel, Hot Rolled Steel has a rougher surface and with galvanization, it can resist corrosion well.
For items thinner than .060", please see our Cold Roll Sheet.
