Hot Roll "Weathering Steel" Sheet A606/A588A (COR-TEN Equivalent) 0.06" (16 GA.) has a higher corrosion resistance than other hot roll steels and produces a rusted finish (corrosion resistant layer) as it is exposed to the elements. Weathering Steel sheet is popularly used in sculpture, exterior facades and roofing when an antiqued appearance is desired. Hot Roll A606/A588A are similar to the product trade named "Cor-Ten" but have a slightly different chemical make up.
