Nickel R405 Product Guide
Applications | Mechanical and Chemical Data | Tolerances
Overview
Nickel R405 is the round rod version of Nickel 400, and shares all of the same benefits. It is extremely resistant to corrosion. Additionally, it has high strength properties, good weldability and formability. The big difference between R405 and 400 is that R405 is only used in round rods. Its mechanical properties remain consistent from sub-zero temperatures up to 896 F (480 C). It is typically used in fasteners, calve parts, screw machine parts, water scrubbers, propeller shafts and pump shafts, and steam generator components.
