UHMW
UHMW (Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) Product Guide
Applications | Mechanical and Chemical Data
Overview
UHMW is a subset of the thermoplastic polyethylene. It is the highest quality polyethylene available and an excellent choice for cost effective, impact, chemical, and abrasion resistant qualities. Also, UHMW offers low friction, toughness, durability, ease of fabrication, low moisture absorption, and a highly effective replacement for metal parts. UHMW is used in a wide range of applications, including wet environment and submerged applications, guides, bumpers, wear strips, rollers, conveyor line guides, and package machinery parts.
