Polycarbonate
Polycarbonate Product Guide
Applications | Mechanical Data
Overview
Polycarbonate is a high clarity hard thermoplastic which is siginificantly stronger than plate glass and acrylic plastic. Its ability to help minimize heat loss and reduce transmission of sound make polycarbonate a favorite throughout the architectural/construction industry for skylights, light lenses, domes and more. Additionally, polycarbonate offers good electrical insulation, ease of machining, exceptional durability, ease of bonding to solvent cements, effective resistance to weather, and excellent structural performance.
