Increase Your AOV with Net 30 Terms
Attract more buyers. Build trust. Grow your business.
Net 30 payment terms — where buyers pay within 30 days of the invoice date — are a standard in B2B transactions. By offering this option, you open your business to larger, more consistent orders and high-value customers. In fact, Net 30 orders have 200% higher average order value (AOV) than credit card orders — and generate more repeat customers. Participating in this program helps you grow faster and build long-term relationships with premium buyers.
How to set up Net 30 terms
While it takes a bit of setup, enabling Net 30 terms is a smart move that can help you attract high-value customers, increase order volume, and grow your business over time.
Step 1: List Net 30 as a payment option
Add Net 30 terms to your seller profile or product listings, and communicate eligibility criteria and payment processes clearly to buyers.
Step 2: Invoice and fulfill Net 30 orders
Once a buyer places an order using Net 30 terms, the process shifts to a traditional dropship model:
- You’ll receive a purchase order (PO) directly from OnlineMetals (outside of the Marketplace system).
- You must fulfill the order using the OnlineMetals shipping account. This is required for all Net 30 orders.
- When shipping the order, be sure to include the OnlineMetals PO number in the “Reference Number” field on the UPS shipment label. This allows OnlineMetals to track the order automatically and confirm shipment — you do not need to send tracking details separately.
- After the order is shipped, send your invoice manually to OnlineMetals' Accounts Payable department at:
[email protected] - Your payment will be processed according to the Net 30 terms from the date of invoice receipt
This traditional fulfillment process is familiar to most B2B sellers and ensures a smooth experience for both you and the buyer.
Step 3: Track payments and follow up
Manage your receivables using your preferred tools or systems.
