This #56 polyester film electrical tape is commonly used in wrapping coils, capacitors, wire harnesses, transformers, shaded pole motors, and fractional-horsepower motors. Designed for continuous operation not exceeding 130°C per UL and CSA listings, the tape is coated on one side with a pressure-sensitive adhesive that does not require any heat, moisture, or other preparation to properly bond. The yellow polyester film backing plus the thermosetting rubber adhesive make for an industrial-grade tape with a minimum breaking strength of 20 lb/in.
