Aluminum Round Bar 2007C-T3 Cold Finish is a specialized high-speed machining alloy engineered specifically for high-volume production on automatic lathes and CNC equipment. Often referred to as a "free-machining" grade, this copper-based alloy is designed for maximum efficiency, producing small, brittle chips that prevent tool clogging and ensure a superior surface finish. The T3 temper signifies that the material has been solution heat-treated and cold-worked, providing high mechanical strength and excellent stability during fast-paced fabrication. Thanks to the cold-finish process, this round stock features ultra-tight diameter tolerances and a polished exterior, making it the perfect choice for complex screws, bolts, and precision hardware. While it offers incredible speed in the machine shop, its high copper content makes it less suitable for welding and typically requires anodizing if used in corrosive environments.
