DOM “Drawn Over Mandrel” round tube is a description for the process of how the specific steel tube is produced. Like that of regular mild steel round tube (electric resistance welded tube), the tube is rolled and welded but in the finishing stages of production for DOM, the weld is removed and the tube is cold drawn over a mandrel to give it a tighter tolerance, improved surface finish, and greater strength.
