Permalac NT Black is our low-VOC, opaque black acrylic lacquer formula designed to yield a rich,
dark tint when applied to any metal, wood, stone, or concrete substrate. It is a 2-in-1 product that
combines a “cast iron” black look with the durability and protection of our award-winning clear
Permalac base. It is fast-drying, easy to apply, and highly resistant to environmental breakdown
caused by UV, acid rain, and salt. It has outstanding adhesion to various substrates, including
patinated and polished metals, hardwood, masonry, or stone products. Users report excellent
results on copper, brass, bronze, steel, aluminum, zinc, and painted wood substrates. Available in
semi-gloss, satin, matte, and ultra-flat finishes in the Permalac NT line.
