Stainless Round Tube 317L exhibits high tensile strength and excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking including in chloride or halide rich environments. 317L is slightly stronger than 304L and 316L stainless steel alloys. 317L is typically used in oil and petroleum equipment, food processing, pulp and paper processing equipment, textiles, architectural, and marine equipment.
Seamless tubing is more expensive but stronger than welded tubing.
