Stainless 304 Product Guide
Applications | Specifications | Mechanical and Chemical Data | Tolerances
Overview
The most commonly used stainless steel alloy in the world, 304/304L stainless steel offers a great mix of strength and corrosion resistance without being overly specialized. It maintains excellent corrosion resistance in most situations outside of marine environments and maintains its properties in high temperature situations. It is typically used in aerospace, food and beverage industry, pressure containers, architectural designs and trim, cryogenic applications, and chemical processing equipment.
Common Trade Names
