Brass 353 sheet and plate (engraver’s brass) is a high lead, free machining copper zinc alloy designed for applications requiring excellent surface finish, precision machining, and stiffness. Known for its ability to polish to a bright, high quality sheen, C35300 is ideal for decorative, engraving, and detailed fabrication work. This alloy offers good corrosion resistance and rigidity, making it suitable for components that require clean edges and dimensional stability.
While it machines exceptionally well, Brass 353 is less suitable for forming operations and is not recommended for welding due to its lead content. It can be easily soldered and brazed, making it versatile for precision fabrication and finishing applications.
Applications: Nameplates, placards, signs, decorative panels, furniture hardware, gears, nuts, precision machined components.
