Brass 260 shim stock (cartridge brass) is a highly ductile copper zinc alloy designed for precision applications requiring excellent formability and consistent thickness. Known for its ability to be easily cut, stamped, and shaped, C26000 performs exceptionally well in light forming and adjustment applications. It provides a balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and thermal conductivity, making it suitable for both industrial and electrical uses.
This material is ideal for creating custom shims, spacers, and sealing components, and is commonly used where fine adjustments and precise tolerances are required. While highly workable, it should not be used in environments exposed to certain acids such as acetic, nitric, or hydrochloric acid.
Applications: Shims, spacers, leveling components, sealing joints, electrical insulation, valve adjustments, precision fabrication.
Form: Thin Sheet / Shim Stock
