Brass Sheet 280, also known as Muntz brass or Muntz metal, is known for its strength, spectacular corrosion resistance, and attractive golden color. 280 is chemically similiar to bronze, but has a lower cost and better hot working capacity. It is also stronger and harder than most other brasses. 280 was specifically designed for use in marine applications, and this is what it is typically used for.
