Brass 260 sheet and plate (cartridge brass) is a highly ductile copper zinc alloy designed for applications requiring excellent formability, smooth surface finish, and reliable corrosion resistance. Composed of approximately 70% copper and 30% zinc, C26000 offers outstanding cold working capability, allowing it to be easily bent, drawn, and shaped without cracking. While not as machinable as free cutting brasses, it performs exceptionally well in fabrication and forming processes. Its attractive golden appearance and balanced mechanical properties make it ideal for both functional and decorative applications.
Available in multiple tempers – including half hard (H02), quarter hard (M20), and fully annealed (O60) – this alloy supports a wide range of forming and finishing requirements. Brass 260 sheet and plate are also available in standard sizes and custom cut dimensions for project flexibility.
